Dear Parents,
The Auburn North staff would like to welcome you back to school for term 4. We would also like to thank and congratulate you for ensuring that your children returned to school perfectly dressed in their school uniforms and committed to making this term their most successful term since beginning in OUR school.
Term 4 is the most important term for our K-6 students because it is the term when they:
- Demonstrate the knowledge, skills and abilities that they require if they are to be promoted to a higher grade next year and succeed in that higher grade.
- Try so very hard to exceed their full potential at their respective stages of development so that their Semester 2 reports are their best ever.
- Receive their Gold Badges and attend the Cinema.
- Attend Principal’s Morning Tea for being presented with 60 Commendations.
Comments about our wonderful school by university students
Each year we have students from a number of universities, including Western Sydney University and Sydney University, visit our school. These students are studying teaching and education and they come to our school to complete ‘practicums’. A ‘practicum’ is where a university student spends four to six weeks in a school observing teachers and teaching small groups of students and eventually entire classes. These university students are supervised and supported by our excellent teachers while they are in our school.
Lasst term some students from Sydney University completed ‘practicums’ in our school. These students had already completed their first degree and are presently completing their second degree, which is a Master of Teaching degree.
At the end of their practicums the students wrote some reflections about their experiences at Auburn North. I believe these University students are most fortunate to have had the opportunity to be taught and assisted by our outstanding teachers. I would like to share those reflections with you.
Dear Auburn North Teachers, I just wanted to say a massive “Thank You” to ANPS. Words cannot describe how much I have enjoyed my time here. I have never been so eager to learn, to receive feedback, and improve myself as a teacher until I came to Auburn North. It’s so special to see such a great school that values all its students, staff and parents so much. You guys are amazing! |

Dear Auburn North, A huge “Thank You” for so warmly welcoming us into your school family. I have had the most amazing, memorable and rewarding experience over the past four weeks. I feel extremely lucky to have had the opportunity to work with and observe such passionate and dedicated teachers. You have a beautiful school full of diverse, enthusiastic and caring students who have taught me just as much as I hope I have taught them. |
Dear ANPS Teachers, Thank you so much for allowing us to be part of this beautiful family here at Auburn North. I have appreciated your time and efforts in helping us to shape our teaching styles and helping us the importance of valuing each child’s strengths. We would like to extend our gratitude to all the staff, students and community of Auburn North Public School for allowing Healthy Kids Cucina Canteen to provide a nutritiously healthy canteen at your school. We are a family run business that operates on the love of food! We have worked in various food service positions from Cafes, Restaurants to School Canteens.
Our menu has been designed to provide students and staff with homemade food that is culturally diverse, tasty and appropriate for varied dietary needs. We offer gluten free, Halal and vegetarian options. Please see our friendly staff for any requests, comments or feedback to support Auburn North Public further.
Helpful Hints and Tips:
Orders can be completed at the canteen from 8:30am for Break 1 and Break 2. We make and cook our lunches fresh daily and do not reheat or use leftovers.
Ice blocks or ice creams can only be purchased at the canteen Break 1 or Break 2.
Please speak to your child as you place the lunch order so they are aware they are receiving a delicious lunch from the canteen that day. We wouldn’t want any child missing out.
At times we will add new and exciting treats for loose change. We understand what it’s like to be young and want to spend 20c at the ‘tuckshop’.
Our staff are dedicated to making our canteen clean, healthy and affordable for all. Please feel free to pop in and introduce yourself.
