OUR PRESENT 2018 – 2021 SCHOOL PLAN and OUR NEW 2021 – 2024 SCHOOL IMPROVEMENT PLAN
In the past, NSW public primary schools and high schools have developed 3-year school plans that included:
- A Vision Statement
- A Mission Statement
- Three Strategic Directions
- Improvement Measures
- Information about programs and practices that were related to the Strategic Directions and that were to be developed and implemented to achieve the Improvement Measures.
At the end of the 2017 school year our school followed a consultative process to develop our 2018-2020 school plan. We consulted:
- All school Leaders and Teachers
- Year 4 – Year 6 students
- Parents
As a result of this consultative process we developed our 2018 – 2020 school Vision which, as you know, is that by the end of the 2020 school we expected that our school would be:
‘Australia’s most outstanding future focused learning community’.
In 2017 our school importantly defined what we meant by this Vision and what it would look like. We agreed that if our students were to be successful then and in the future they had to develop outstanding:
- Basic Skills in literacy and numeracy.
- Technology Skills.
- 21st Century Skills in areas such as communication, collaboration, critical thinking, and creative thinking.
We also agreed that if our students were going to be successful then and in the future they had to live and breathe our six school values of respect, honesty, fairness, friendship, responsibility, and kindness.
At the same time our school knew it was essential that our leaders, teachers, and parents develop the knowledge and skills to assist our students develop these skill sets and learn to live by our values.
Over the past three years, our school learning community has made great progress towards achieving our vision to become ‘Australia’s most outstanding future focused learning community’.
It is now time for us to evaluate our 2018-2020 School Plan and develop our new four-year 2021-2024 School Plan. Over the next few weeks, we will be consulting:
- All school Leaders and Teachers
- Year 4 – Year 6 students
- Parents
We are in the process of developing a short parent survey to ask for your views on our school’s strengths and also areas in which we could further develop. Your responses will assist us develop our new school plan and become an even better school for our students, our teachers and our parents over the next four years.
We will distribute this survey via Schoolzine in the coming weeks. We greatly appreciate you taking the time to respond to this very important survey once it becomes available.

Kindergarten Enrolment 2021
KP have been working hard this year to learn how to use a computer and an iPad to document their learning. KP have learnt to log in and out a computer, open a word document, change font size, type and colour, and type a variety of different sentences. The students have also been exploring a variety of applications on the iPad including creating a digital book and exploring mathematical concepts.
This term, students have been learning about living and non-living things in Science. As part of this study, boys and girls in KP planted some seeds and monitored the growth of their plants over a period of two-weeks. Throughout this time, students ensured that the plants had both water and sunlight in order to grow. Students enjoyed creating a digital book documenting the growth of their plants, using a combination of written words, pictures, audio and video. Students were very excited to be able to share these digital books with their families through See-Saw.
