This term, 6N have been reflecting on their last year at Auburn North P.S. Many of them are excited for their next journey into high school. Here are some of the things they have thought about and would like to give the following advice for future and current Auburn North P.S students.
What has been the best thing about being in Year 6?
The best thing about being in year 6, is that you are now a role model and you set examples for younger students. I also feel more confident, independent and respected. – Anam
Having fun in each lesson with my teacher – Remas
The best thing that has been about being in year 6 is the teachers and that I can make friends. – Talha
Write about a fun memory from any school year.
Getting the white t-shirts - Busra
I found it funny that Miss Nguyen always had something funny to say to the class, she always adds jokes and brightens the room. A funny moment would be when she continuously bugged a student in my class to bring a tissue box since he ended up using most of it, after 3 terms, the guy finally brought a tissue box in! – Anam
Year 2, I really liked 2B. She helped me push myself and rewarded nicely, she was super nice. I also liked Y1. Miss Mohammed gave candies to whichever table got the most points by the end of the week. I liked it because our table always won, I loved the banana candies ( we mainly won because Maheen was in our table ) – Zuha
In year 3 my teacher was Miss Hamm and I remember it was her birthday and she said we were going to do a test but instead of doing a test she tricked us and gave us cupcakes. - Busra
What will you miss most about your school?
I will miss all the caring teachers, funny classmates and atmosphere that I grew up with since kindergarten. I would also miss all the parties and fun we had, as I know in high school I wouldn’t have much time to relax. - Anam
My teacher, my friends,my classmates and all the fun we had together – Remas ❤
I will miss the library and Fantec a lot because it was a really relaxing place to hang out in. - Zuha
The most I would miss about my school is the whole of year six as I've known all those students since Kindergarten, and of course the wonderful class teachers and grade leaders I have had. – Zebunnisa
I will miss my friends and my lovely teachers. - Zaki
If you could go back in time, what advice would you give to yourself on your very first day of school?
“It’s okay you’ll make tons of friends, just make sure you don’t make wrong ones. There'll be many people to comfort you, just try to think ahead as to make sure what you’re doing is right. You will have your lows but best not to think about them, but one thing you must do is keep the brightest smile on your face and everything will work out.” – Amir
Be confident, don't be shy, always stand up for your friends and be respectful to your teacher and to always have fun and be happy – Remas
Work harder, study more, make as many friends as possible. – Zuha
I would tell myself to not be quiet and make friends quickly so that in the future I will already have someone to talk to and also to choose my friends carefully because I have made wrong choices with friends in the past years. I would also tell myself to never give up and keep trying hard. – Zebunnisa
I would say don't be nervous and just try your best. - Zaki
2C have had such an amazing year this year. All students worked so hard and have always strived to achieve the learning goal of every lesson. 2C have developed such positive relationships with each other and the rest of Year 2 and I am so proud of every single one of them. They are SO ready to go to Year 3 next year and I am going to miss them so much!

2C Technology News
This year, all Year 2 students have visited the library once a week to develop their technology skills with Mr Prendergast. This term, we have been developing our coding skills on Minecraft. All students created their own mazes and then programmed a robot to find their way out. Students have also experimented with making pickaxes, collecting coal and wood, building houses and rollercoasters. 2C’s technology skills have blown me away!

2C Science News
In science this term, all Year 2 students have been exploring and recording the properties of a range of materials. Students looked at the similarities and differences between sun protective items and discussed when we should wear them. Last week, students designed and created a sun protective outfit for their own teddy bear! They had so much fun doing this and showed critical thinking when selecting materials for different components of their outfit.

Captain’s Speech 2021
Welcome to the 2021 graduation ceremony. For year 6. 2021 has been a challenging year but we didn’t let that stop us from shining bright. We faced the challenges and succeeded in the end. Now we are standing here to have congratulate the year 6 students who have completed Primary school and will soon be entering high school.
We would like to thank our teachers who have spent their time teaching us new ways of learning through out primary school. We would also like to thank our principal Mr Harris for running this school smoothly. We will forever keep Auburn North in our hearts. We have all enjoyed many fun days at Auburn such as crazy hair and sock day, book week, community festival day, mufti day, excursions and so much more. We have all made many memories in past years in primary school and like Mr Harris says “Once a member of the Auburn North family always a member of the Auburn North Family.”
When we leave this school, we will show the Auburn North values even after we leave this school not just in high school but everywhere we go. I have been in this school since Kindergarten and I have watch this school grow. I have seen many students come and go and they have all wore their school uniforms with pride.
When we leave this school we wish for Auburn North’s good reputation to stay the same. We would once again like to thank the staff, teachers, students and of course, Mr Harris. We wish the future year 6 the best of luck as you will be the next leaders of the school. We are confident that you will be very successful leaders and that Auburn North will benefit from your leadership. Thank you for listening to our speech and good luck to everyone graduating in the Year 6 ANPS class of 2021.
