SEMESTER 1 REPORTS – A CELEBRATION OF SUCCESS
Students this week have taken home their semester 1 reports. I have had the pleasure of reading and signing each report.
With the strong support of their teachers, all K-6 students have developed so much academically, emotionally, socially, and physically since the beginning of the year. All staff are so proud of their efforts and achievements.
Their reports really are a ‘Celebration of Success’ and I hope you take the opportunity to sit down with your children, read the reports together, and together celebrate all the achievements that have been made since the beginning of this year.

SPORTS LEADERS Report
For your reading pleasure please find attached to this newsletter a report that has been prepared by our sports leaders.
In this report our sports leaders reflect on sporting events held in semester 1. I would like to thank our sports leaders, Miss Chan and Miss Edwards for collaboratively writing this report.

Principal
This year, we have been fortunate enough to participate in PSSA after the interruptions of the past couple of years. We have had Basketball, AFL, Cricket and T-Ball teams in summer, and Soccer, Newcombe ball, and Netball teams in winter. Everyone has proudly represented Auburn North when playing with other schools.
The Cross Country event was one of the most exciting events. We watched K-2 and 3-6 run their races. It was part of the Reading, Running and Picnic Day which many families attended. K-2 students participated in tabloid events led by the sports captains while 3-6 students ran their respective races for their age groups. The sports captains worked hard preparing and learning their chants to encourage their house teams to cheer on all runners.
We are very excited to use our new sports courts for PSSA and class sport. We feel really proud to welcome other schools to play with us on our new courts. It is also such an amazing experience to play class sport on brand new courts.
So far 2023 has been a fantastic year for sports across the school and we look forward to the exciting things coming next semester.
