Dear Parents,
The other members of the Auburn North staff and I hope you and your families are well.
OUR 2023 COMMUNITY FESTIVAL DAY
I believe last Thursday’s community festival day was a very special and memorable day for all members of our Auburn North FAMILY. I hope you share my view.
Our school was multiculturalism at its most exciting, most outstanding, and most harmonious last Thursday as we all celebrated our own and each other’s cultures.
The dance performances by every one of our 640 students were truly sensational and the highest quality performances I have seen at any of our school’s community festival day programs over the past 24 years. I would like to congratulate the students.
I would also like to thank and congratulate our wonderful teachers for ensuring the girls and boys knew the dances and felt confident performing in front of hundreds of people.
The two choirs were magnificent. Congratulations students and teachers.
All students and teachers enjoyed each other’s company during the picnic lunch in our school’s attractive grounds and many parents made new friends.
I must thank and congratulate all members of the ANPS staff TEAM on the way in which they worked together to coordinate such a successful event.
Several volunteers work in our school each week to assist our students and their learning. Ms Jane Cowley is one of our special volunteers.
Jane sent an email to our school on the night of the community festival day. I think her email expresses the feelings of all who attended the special day. The email is reproduced below:
“Thank you so much for inviting me today to experience and celebrate CFD.
What a fabulous day it was in so many ways. The pure joy on the faces of the students and the enormous pleasure their performances gave their families and their teachers combined to make it an exceptional celebration of all the best things about the wondrous multicultural community at ANPS.”
“None of it would have been possible without the incredible work of the teachers and staff at ANPS. Take a bow every single of you.
I feel very privileged to be part of the ANPS family in a small way and am grateful and happy every single time I walk through the gate and none more so than today.”
Please find included with this newsletter some photos from our special community day.
BEST WISHES MRS and MR SIMON

Mrs Simon has made a major contribution to the development of our high-performing school learning community.
Last Friday was Mrs Simon’s last day at Auburn North before she commenced maternity leave. We wish Mrs Simon and Mr Simon all the very best as they await the birth of their beautiful baby.
We look forward to Mrs Simon visiting our school late this year or next year to show off her “little bundle of joy.”
